A new image, true to our history
Meurens syrup maker represents almost a century and a half of slow cooking, fruit from the Herve region and instantly recognisable jars. And yet, at a time when consumption habits are evolving — on-the-go formats, clearer labels, attention to the origin of ingredients —, it was time to refresh our visual identity. Not to be modern at all costs, but to highlight what really matters: the taste of the fruit, the house recipes, and the pride of a know-how that has never been passed on anywhere other than Aubel. This new identity is our way of telling this story using today's codes.
Clearer labels, colours that speak
Each range now receives its own distinct colour, making it easy to identify at a glance on the shelf: blue for the traditional apple, pear and date recipe; green for the 100% fruit version with no added sugar; and orange for the apricot variation. Essential information — such as ingredients, the weight of fruit used per kilo of syrup, and serving suggestions — is clearly displayed on the front of the jar. In the squeeze category, the flexible bottle is now more readable and practical. Designed for picnics, the office or school lunchboxes, it contains the entire contents of a jar in a format that slips anywhere, without any drips or need for a knife.
A new site to share our recipes
Along with this new image comes a new website, richer in recipes, ideas for open sandwiches and savoury dishes, and suggestions for gourmet pairings. There you will find our variations by flavour and size, contact details to visit us in Aubel, and a regularly updated newsletter. Welcome to the new digital home of Le Vrai Sirop de Liège®.
